Greenfield Park | Mesa, Arizona

4105 E Diamond Ave, Mesa, AZ 85206

Greenfield Park is a community park located in a beautiful neighborhood that has a big, lush grass park. You can find it situated along Diamond Avenue near Mesa Fire and Medical Department Station 205. It is also very close to churches and surrounding homes and villages. The park was closed for almost a year for renovation before reopening in November 2017. Anything on the playground has been replaced.

A park suitable for people of all ages, with rope climbing facilities for big and little kids, a fishing pool, walking trails, aerobic equipment, covered picnic pavilions, and bathrooms. The surfacing on the playground is mainly wood fiber with some rubber bits. A separate sand play area is also available. The playground is covered and contains several interesting rope climbing devices, as well as a disk swing and standard swings and slides.

The park has a community lake where people can go fishing. You can catch quite a variety of fish in this lake like bass, bluegill, catfish, and fathead minnows. Via yearly stockings, the Arizona Game & Fish Department aims to build a high-quality bass-fishing pool. During the colder winter months, there will be seasonal stockings of catfish and trout. Because of the extreme temperatures, there are no fish stockings from mid-June to mid-September.

It has lots of ground to run or walk on so if you have pets, this is a good place to spend time with your pet. On the weekends, this park is normally filled with families enjoying a picnic. You'll see the shaded playground next to the restrooms when you enter from the parking lot. Inside the restrooms are communal sinks, but there are no mirrors, and the toilets are concrete. And, if you take a sidewalk downhill, it will lead you to green grass on both sides. Walking to the left will take you to the fishing pool, and walking to the right will take you to the exercise stations. It will take you no longer than 10 to 15 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the exercise stations. You can walk up to the canal path from the lake if you want to go on a longer walk.

The playground and toilets are just across the street from the parking lot. If seeing the lake or using the aerobic equipment is your top priority, you might want to park around the corner.

  • Picnic tables and barbecue grills
  • Restrooms
  • Shaded playground
  • Exercise Equipment
  • Horseshoes
